The remodel of this 350 sq ft existing house sitting in a quarter acre of a desert lot is a vacation home for a young family.

The project includes an architectural renovation, adding a bedroom and terrace on top of the exciting structure, shaded surfaces to control the incidence of the sun; open decks surround the house and an existing water tank was cut to become a hot tub perfectly located to catch the colorful sunsets and mountain views that are a characteristic of this area.
Reinterpretation and open spaces emphasize the dialog of the house with its natural environment.
